The Early Days

I’ve always believed in trying. Not because I dreamed of building a billion-dollar empire, but because I’ve always seen the world differently—if something feels possible, I have to give it a shot.

At 21, I dropped out of school to build a social network. For two years, I worked out of my parents’ basement, turning an idea into something real. The site grew to over 750,000 members and taught me everything about building, failing, and learning.

Over the years, I’ve had my share of “almosts”—projects that came close to massive success but missed the mark. A social network before Facebook. A video speed-dating platform before Tinder. Even a shot at Y Combinator the same year as Stripe and Airbnb. Those moments weren’t failures—they were lessons that shaped who I am today.

Building and Rebuilding

After my first business wound down, I joined a small software company, where I quickly rose from developer to VP of Marketing. But no matter where I was, I couldn’t stop creating. On weekends and evenings, I built apps, products, and side projects.

Eventually, I co-founded FormHero – later rebranded as Daylight Automation – a startup that grew from two friends in a shared workspace to over 100 people working with some of the biggest companies in the world. We raised millions in venture funding, scaled to a valuation of over $60 million, and eventually sold the company (for far less).

Now and What’s Next

After stepping away from the company that acquired us, I realized what I love most: sharing ideas, helping others think differently, and showing what’s possible.

That’s why I started my YouTube channel—not just to give advice, but to show what it really looks like to try, fail, and build in real time. Now, I’m focused on creating, experimenting, and helping others take that first step toward building something meaningful.
